Spring '04 Schedule
Percussion Ensemble

Greetings
from the Lenoir-Rhyne Percussion Program,
I first want to congratulate
everyone on an awesome Fall concert.. I must say it ranked among the very best.
I’m very fortunate to have the incredible talent from our area in the LRPP. I’m
also excited to announce that the NC Day of Percussion, which you are
hosting... is shaping up nicely. Thanks to your
fund raising efforts last semester.. we’re going to reach our goals, and we’ll
have several great clinicians along w/ hundreds of other performers. Stay
focused on this very important event, cause we will be under the microscope by
the rest of the state, and I can say with extreme confidence that we’re more
than capable.
There is one very big change from last semester.. Since we have so many new
members joining this semester, I’d like to change our rehearsal time to:
1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and a new ensemble at 4:00. I hope that doesn’t mess up
anyone’s schedule... I really need to squeeze in this new ensemble. I won’t know
if it’ll work until the first rehearsal, but we’ll try it and see. I’d like to
keep a handful of people from last year’s group in the 4:00 to serve as a
backbone for the new members. Fun and challenging music all around.
There will be at least one more fund raiser of some kind (TBA). I promise not to
force you each into child labor, or to put you through the cruel and unusual
punishment of a “Drum a thon”.
